Summoning a faerie Empty
PostSubject: Summoning a faerie   Summoning a faerie EmptyMon Feb 02, 2009 2:16 pm

Hi everyone!
I found this cute little poem that will summon you a faerie.
It's kinda a spell and here it is:

"Sit where the cat sits. Cross your toes.
Close your eyes and smell a rose.
Then say under your under your breath:
I believe in faeries, sure as death"

"Gadflykins! Gladtrypins!
Gutterpuss and Cass!
Come to me fairily
Each lad and lass!"

I found it on http://www.geocities.com/nitelifer.geo/faespell.html
Try it out and tell me if it works or not!
Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Well that's to bad!
I have the same problem
and I don't have a cat either.
That's why I don't know if the spell
works or not.

PostSubject: Re: Summoning a faerie   Summoning a faerie EmptyWed Feb 04, 2009 3:19 pm

I've looked into "witchcraft" and spells before, and according to those practicing magick, the spells that work are usually the ones you write yourself. If you believe in this sort of thing- which I'm rather skeptical of- this seems to be your best bet. I would research a little into the subject before writing things willy-nilly, however.

PostSubject: Re: Summoning a faerie   Summoning a faerie EmptyWed Feb 04, 2009 3:31 pm

I don't personally believe it, but there is a huge following online and offline who believe in these things. My father believes in it too, though he rarely discusses it with anyone. There are theories that if enough people believe in something, it's real- Like voodoo, it's all mind tricks. Because of the deep set fear that people have of dark magic in some cultures, they allow themselves to be controlled by it. In certain places, if a witch doctor tells a man he will die, there's nothing any doctors can do to save him because he is certain he will die- and thus, will.

Actually if you heard of quatum physics it's the belief and thought of a person that powers a spell.
I do agree with you Quet. I've done a couple of spells and usually the ones that work are the ones I've
written myself. I don't think the results of them are mind-tricks or coincidences.

Summoning a faerie Empty
PostSubject: Re: Summoning a faerie   Summoning a faerie EmptySat Feb 28, 2009 8:40 am

The way I would summon them is to just talk to them out loud outside of your home or wherever you feel a presence outside.

I don't like to use the word "summon" because it makes it sound like we humans have the upper hand with the Fae. They will come when THEY want to, or if they choose to respond to us if we ASK them. So I sometimes will verbally invite them in my home and will tell them 'Hey, I'm playing some music and have snacks inside.. c'mon in and enjoy !" or "Hey, I'm watching a cool video, c'mon over .. I have snacks too!"

If I invite them in my home, I will make sure to put out snacks for them. They do take certain properties from these offerings for thier own energy. They may also hang around you to borrow some of your own energy if they need to.

The Faes, gnomes, and all can read our thoughts, but, in general, they intentionally block us out, just as we would block out television or radio static. Speaking to them audibally outside at first will get their attention, and then when other humans are around, you just tell them ahead of time that they are welcome to read your thoughts projected to them from that point foreward.

This , of course, means nothing if there are no Fae's , elves, gnomes, etc, in your vicinity at the time you are trying to speak to them.

When I invite them in, I make sure to tell them... "Only those of you who love God are invited, but I'll pray for the rest of you so that you can come in to some time in the future.

Wow. Well, i am christian, or, i at least am a believer in God. So i love the way you worded that!

Summoning a faerie Empty
PostSubject: Re: Summoning a faerie   Summoning a faerie EmptyMon Mar 09, 2009 4:23 pm

I"m reading the book, The Elves of Lily Hill Farm, by Penny Kelly. I'ts a true account of Penny's encounter with Elves on her farm property. They helped her revise the farm and make it a place that ended up being like a nature refuge for native animals, and a healing center for people who visit. The farm is still active today.. It's in Michigan. They have a bed and breakfast center there you can rent a room in. Here is their farm's website: www.lilyhillfarm.org

I emailed them about my encounter and asked if they still communicate with those elves. I'll let you guys know when I get a response from them.

Anyways, in thier book, I found a section on 12 steps to communicate with the Elves and Faery and Nature Spirits:

STEPS FOR GOOD COMMUNICATION:

1. Make the decision to contact elves or devas, nature spirits or elementals.

2. Decide on a good time

3. Choose a place

4. State your intention

5. Take a half-dozen deep, slow breathes.

6. Create a mental picture of the intelligence you want to contact.

7. Ask your question or state your need

8. Listen carefully to any response, answers , or advice that comes to you.

9. Carefully note any images that come to you.

10. Thank the form of intelligence for communicating.

11. Say Goodbye.

12. Follow through with the answer given.

PostSubject: Re: Summoning a faerie   Summoning a faerie EmptyThu Nov 26, 2009 7:21 pm

Hi Faecat! No worries!

It's better to go by your intuition and gut feeling anyway- A human put that list together, so it may not be accurate.

Yeah, I did hear that the faery don't like it when humans thank them because in their culture, it makes them feel they are obligated to you afterwards.

I was told that the best thing to do instead of saying "thanks" to them is to just say "i love you guys!" or send them a kiss. Natalie over at the Real Faeries forum said that the Elves don't mind being thanked though-- just the other types of faeries may not like it.--but none of us are too sure even then- maybe that is just an old faery myth and they do like to be thanked. I think she said she is going to ask Mr. E about that.

Hugz! rendeer

I wonder if I can become a clairvoyant too. That would be nice and cool. Well I guess that that's just another power of magic that I'll never have. I just want so bad to know what it's like to feel magic flow threw me. Well that is a very unlikely dream but I guess that I could if I ask God and the Fae.
