| Okay, well every time we (me and my mom) go into the kitchen, one part of the forks are bent. I believed this to be a boggart, yet my friend's cat's pixie told him it was a brownie.... Then I remembered something.... The day before I kept hearing some saw-like sound in the walls behind the washer while it was turned off.... It sounded like a hand-saw, not an electric one. It sounded like sawing wood.... And once I came closer, the sound turned into a tapping sound. I tapped the wall, and it stopped.. After a second it started up again.. I rushed to my family, and of course, when I came back, it stopped.... I dont think a saw could clean anything, and how could it connect to the fork? The fork looked like this, but only one part was bent... | |

| If I recall my folklore correctly, house brownies are not malicious in anyway, and instead of making a mess or annoying people, they would come into the house in the middle of the night and tidy, keeping things in their place. This is where the name for the girl scout's group "Brownies" came from, as every girl pledges to be like the brownies and do their best to be helpful and kind. If you find things are destroyed in some way, that sounds more like some sort of mischievous sprite or even a poltergeist- though poltergeist activity can also be attributed to fluctuations in the energy emitted by the residents themselves. | |

| Wow! that is a mischievious boggart you got there. Did you do anything that might upset it? You should try leaving out some bread, milk, cream, or honey for it. To be safe you might want to continue doing this even after it gets quieter. Don't wait and watch it take the food. If that doesn't help I heard of a lady who got rid of her boggart by tricking it into leaving the house and never coming back until the holly turns green which will never happen. | |
